One of PCrefurb’s founding objectives is to provide refurbished IT equipment to eligible members of the community at very little or no cost. Examples of those we have helped include local branches of a national charity, a special needs group, an after-school club, other local community groups and individuals on low income or with a disability. We have provided desktop computers, monitors, printers, laptops and much more.
Which areas?
For individuals, our priority is to provide equipment to residents of the High Peak of Derbyshire and Tameside.
Applications from groups such as charities and educational establishments in these areas and other areas of Greater Manchester will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
How to apply
Our stock of equipment is constantly changing. In general we do not keep a large supply of ready-to-go equipment, preferring to prepare it on demand to make sure it is as up-to-date as possible. The first step is to let us know you would like to apply. You can either complete one of the forms below, or contact us by email or phone to have an initial chat.
Time-scales
Although we will always endeavour to provide equipment as quickly as possible, we cannot guarantee a time-scale for provision. If the need is urgent, please let us know. As of:

IMPORTANT – Laptops for school students during COVID lockdown
We treat all applications on a case-by-case basis. Please note, at the time of writing (7/1/2021) priority will be given to students in exam years (Y11 and Y13) and where there are exceptional extenuating circumstances. The first port of call for devices for students is their school or other educational establishment as the body responsible for meeting their educational needs, including provision of work where no devices are available.
