PCrefurb Policies – Summary

Privacy

Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us. We do not share or disclose any of your personal information with third parties unless it is required by law, regulation or any governmental or competent regulatory authority. Examples of information we may ask you for include your name, address, phone number and email address which we may need to contact you. We will only use such personal information in accordance with the current UK data protection laws. All personal information will be kept securely to prevent access by unauthorised persons. You have the right to request to see any information we hold about you and to correct any information as necessary.

Data Destruction

On receiving donated IT equipment, once it has been logged, where such equipment holds mass storage devices such as hard drives, we wipe these devices using industry standard methods. We can produce a Certificate of Destruction specific to each wiped device if requested.

Recycling

In cases where we are unable to refurbish and reuse donated IT equipment we recycle it under the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive. We are registered with the Environment Agency as a Waste Carrier, Broker or Dealer, certificate number CBDL410472.

Modern Slavery Statement

Modern slavery encompasses slavery, servitude, human trafficking and forced labour. PCrefurb does not meet the legal requirement to produce a Modern Slavery Statement as detailed here https://www.gov.uk/guidance/publish-an-annual-modern-slavery-statement#who-needs-to-publish-a-statement. However, we have a zero tolerance approach to any form of modern slavery and we are committed to acting ethically and with integrity and transparency in all our activities and to putting effective systems and controls in place wherever practicable and commensurate with our operations. We have produced an Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement.
